Newton Democratic Caucus and Override Forum: Update

On Saturday, February 9 Newton Democrats (except Ward 6 which will hold its caucus independently) will gather to elect Delegates to the 2013 Democratic State Convention at the City's annual Democratic Caucus. If you are interested in running to be a delegate, please consider attending the caucus. All Newton residents who were registered to vote as Democrats as of December 31, 2012 are eligible to participate.

Before the Caucus Newton Dems and all interested members of the public are invited to hear from Mayor Setti Warren and his leadership team as they present their case for an override in Newton. Please attend to learn about the proposal and ask questions.

Detailed schedule for Saturday February, 9

Location: Newton North High School Film Lecture Hall

  • 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm: Override Presentation by Mayor Setti Warren and his leadership team. All members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend this event.
  • 1:45 to 2:30 pm: Registration opens for the Caucus 
  • 2:30 pm: Caucus begins (all interested participants must be registered and in their caucus room before this time.
