Every two years the Massachusetts Democratic Party reviews and updates its platform. As part of the process hearings are held across the state so that Democrats can weigh in on the process and share their thoughts and ideas.
The NDCC has organized a platform hearing that will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 pm on Tuesday, March 19 at the Newton Senior Center, 345 Walnut Street in Newtonville. All Democrats are welcome and encouraged to attend and voice their opinion for what should be in the Democratic Party platform this year.
At the hearing attendees will be affored the chance to speak and share their thoughts with Newton Mayor Setti Warren, Democratic State Committee Woman and Drafting Committee Member Holly Ryan and other Democratic Party leaders. The ideas will be recorded and submitted for consideration by the Platform Drafting Committee. The updated platform will be voted on at the State Democratic Convention on July 13 of this year.
