The NDCC is saddened to share the news that former State Representative David J. Mofenson has passed away. His obituary is below. David was a Newton resident for over 50 years and was always active in Newton civic affairs. David is the immediate past Chairman of the Newton Election Commission. David served as the Massachusetts House Chairman of the Committee on Human Services and Elder Affairs from 1975-1981. He has also served as Chairman of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health‘s Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Advisory Committee, and as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Spellman Postal Museum.
