State labor board finds probable cause: School Committee negotiates in "bad faith" with Custodians Union

From the Newton TAB

The state Department of Labor Relations found probable cause to move forward with a complaint that the School Committee committed "prohibited practices" in its collective bargaining with the Newton Custodians Association, according to a Labor Relations report issued June 21.

The Newton Dems say: NO OUTSOURCING.

Read the documents in the article: it is clear School Committee negotiators have one demand of the custodians: "let us fire you." For two years the School Committee has offered no concessions, no contract changes, no nothing unless the union agrees to have their union broken.

This is not the way we should do business here in Newton. The Dems stand strong for union rights, and for fair wages and benefits.
