Come and make a public comment in support of a TRUST Ordinance

Newton's proposed "Sanctuary City" ordinance will be discussed at a meeting of the Newton City Council's Public Safety Committee on:

City Council Chamber, (2nd floor) Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue

7:00 p.m.

The Committee will invite comment from residents.

Hundreds of  cities and  four states (California, Colorado, Connecticut and New Mexico) all over the country are adopting Sanctuary or Trust ordinances to protect vulnerable, innocent immigrants who live and work in their communities.  City Council members Alison Leary, Susan Albright, Emily Norton, Jake Auchincloss, Barbara Brousal-Glaser, Ted Hess-Mahan, Jay Harney, Deb Crossley, Vicki Danberg,and Ruthanne Fuller are sponsors of Newton's Sanctuary City ordinance.
