Ribbon cutting at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 8
Dear Friends,I am pleased to invite you to join me on Tuesday, May 8th at 11:30 AM, with Governor Deval Patrick in Lower Falls on the Wellesley side of the Charles River for a very special Bridge Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. This event is scheduled to take place on the Trestle Bridge crossing the Charles River, connecting Newton and Wellesley.We will be joined by Newton Mayor Setti Warren, Senator Cynthia Creem, Representative Alice Peisch, DCR Commissioner Edward Lambert, Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Richard Sullivan, and representatives from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. Many public officials and neighbors from the City of Newton and the Town of Wellesley including the Newton Bike and Pedestrian Task Force will attend.I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your interest, your dedication, your tremendous support and hard work in bringing this project to fruition for so many to enjoy.I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 11:30 AM.Refreshments will be available courtesy of Ted Tye of National Development.Kay KhanParking: Parking is available in the metered spaces along Washington Street and in the municipal lot behind Paparazzi restaurant.
