May 12: Secretary Galvin, Senator Creem to speak about the right to vote

Nationwide we have seen the GOP launch unprecedented attacks on the right to vote. From rolling back the historic Voting Rights Act, to imposing onerous new ID requirements, to purging voter rolls and making cuts to early voting days, the GOP is doing everything possible to undermine the right of all citizens to cast a vote on Election Day.

Here in Massachusetts we are fortunate that Democrats, including Senator Creem and Representatives Balser and Khan, recently succeeded in passing into law improved access to the polls, from early voting to same-day registration. Now, just months after taking office, Governor Charlie Baker is already working to restrict access to the polls, from proposing to defund the Elections Divisio to suggesting that political parties pay for their primaries,

The NDCC is proud to host Secretary of the Commonwealth Bill Galvin and State Senator Cindy Creem so they can speak about and answer your questions on the topic of voting rights in Massachusetts.
