Why This Race Matters:
Susan is the first woman and first Democrat in 20 years to represent PA 07. Pennsylvania is one of the most critical Presidential battleground states. The PA 7th is a purple district that is key to both holding the House and winning the state. This is a rust belt district that saw a marked decline in Democratic support in 2016 and includes a “pivot county”— the sort of district we must carry to win in 2020. Susan’s likely opponent is a self-financer who will be a powerful adversary.
